Walked here from the arc de Triomphe based on google reviews and it was worth the steps. Located away from the busy streets, Oscar's host welcomed us with a smile and in perfect english. The staff really elevated the dining experience with kindness and good humor. The atmosphere in the restaurant was fantastic and their Mojito packs a punch. The food was good and solid and as a bonus... I forgot my bag which they kept safe/stayed open until I was able to pick it up again. Thank you!

Oscar is a charming and well-executed dining establishment that delivers a memorable experience rooted in attentive service, a welcoming ambiance, and a thoughtful menu. Located in a walkable area with a vibrant atmosphere, the restaurant is best accessed on foot due to limited parking—though the short walk only adds to the charm of the visit. From the moment we arrived, the customer service stood out. Staff were gracious, professional, and accommodating, creating a relaxed and enjoyable dining environment. The overall atmosphere was warm and inviting, with tasteful decor and a pleasant layout that contributed to a comfortable and intimate setting. Cleanliness was clearly a priority—the dining area and visible kitchen spaces were well-maintained, enhancing the overall impression of quality and care. The menu offered a variety of appealing options, with particular highlights including the ravioli, which was well-prepared and flavorful, and the lamb stew, which was hearty and satisfying with a well-balanced blend of seasoning and texture. Portions were appropriate and presentation was elegant without being overstated. While parking posed a challenge, the quality of the experience at Oscar more than compensated for the inconvenience. It’s the kind of place that rewards those willing to explore a bit off the beaten path. In summary, Oscar delivers solid culinary execution, excellent service, and a pleasant atmosphere in a desirable location. We would happily return and recommend it to others seeking an authentic and well-run French dining experience.

Dinner with my daughters. The good Great atmosphere, and super friendly staff. Joking smiling, all great. I wondered if I was in Paris. Food was very good, we had a big lunch so my review is biased to a smaller appetite. The bad Nothing to report The ugly Nothing to report.

Oscar, nestled on the quiet street of 6 Rue de Chaillot in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, is a French restaurant that quietly commands attention through its sincere devotion to classic cuisine and warm hospitality. This establishment delivers a dining experience that feels both genuine and carefully crafted, far from the crowded city bustle.

The kitchen’s dedication shines most notably in signature dishes like the Onglet de Boeuf Sauce Bearnaise accompanied by Frites Maison, which balances rich, tender beef with a velvety Béarnaise sauce and perfectly crisp, homemade fries. The Sesame Encrusted Salmon Fillet surprises with its delicate crunch and fresh, savory flavor, standing as a testament to the kitchen’s technical precision. Equally impressive is the Creme Brûlée with Orange — a nuanced twist on a traditional French dessert that marries caramelized sugar with bright citrus notes, ending the meal on a refined, memorable note.

Oscar’s menu places a strong focus on seasonal and quality ingredients, offering classics like Scalloped Potatoes that provide a comforting creaminess, Poulet with Andouillette Sauce Moutarde Purée that showcases robust regional flavors, and starters such as Terrine de Thon, which is fresh and delicate. The portions are thoughtfully measured—enough to satisfy without overwhelming—emphasizing elegance over excess. Complimentary bread and selections like Gourmet Coffee and Chocolate Fondant add layers of indulgence that elevate the overall dining ritual.

The atmosphere echoes a Parisian charm that is intimate yet lively, enhanced by staff that are attentive and genuinely kind. Their humor and warmth create a relaxed environment, inviting guests to linger without rush. Though parking is limited, the location encourages exploration on foot, adding a subtle layer of adventure to your visit.

Oscar’s blend of solid culinary execution, tasteful ambiance, and considerate service comes together to reward those who seek an authentic French dining experience off the beaten path. Here, each dish tells a story of tradition and care—a story worth savoring with every bite.
